Clifford Chance advises Legal & General on the sale of its US protection business to Meiji Yasuda
Global Law firm Clifford Chance is pleased to have advised long-standing client, Legal & General, on the sale of its US protection business to Meiji Yasuda which was announced on 7 February 2025. The cross-border team was led by relationship partner Anthony Oldfield with support from M&A partner Joe Cosentino and insurance and investment management partners Dennis Manfredi and Jeffrey LeMaster together with senior associate Christine Kim, associates Natalie Tsang and Elliott Schreffler and colleagues drawn a wide range of other practice areas across the firm's New York and Washington offices, including partner Phil Wagman (tax) and Counsel Michael Van Arsdall (antitrust).
London based lead relationship partner David Pudge and senior associate Niall O'Shea advised on the UK aspects of the transaction.
