Transport Infrastructure

  • US$12.5 billion acquisition of Global Infrastructure Partners: Advised BlackRock on its US$12.5 billion agreement to acquire Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a leading independent infrastructure fund manager. This transaction creates a multi-asset class infrastructure investing platform with combined client Assets Under Management (AUM) of over US$150 billion, to deliver clients market-leading infrastructure expertise across equity, debt and solutions.   • First Data Centre Asset-Backed Securitisation in EMEA: Advised Vantage Data Centers, a leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, on the first Data Centre ABS in EMEA. This is a landmark transaction in many ways, providing access to the capital markets for data centre operators in Europe as well as an innovative new securitisation asset class for the European securitisation market.   • £3.26 billion acquisition of stake in Heathrow Airport: Advised Ardian on its agreement to acquire a combined stake of 37.62 percent in Heathrow Airport in London, alongside The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF), from Ferrovial S.E. and certain other shareholders in Heathrow, plus the acquisition of an additional 10 percent stake in the airport.   • DATA4's European data centres: Advised the underwriters, mandated lead arrangers and lenders on the €3.3 billion financing of European data centres owned and operated by DATA4, the Brookfield-owned data centre operator in France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany and Greece.   • Neoen: Advised Brookfield, together with its institutional partners, on exclusive negotiations with Impala, the Fonds Stratégique de Participations, Cartusia and Xavier Barbaro (Chairman and CEO of Neoen) and other shareholders, for the acquisition of a majority stake in Neoen.
