Elliott Schreffler is an associate in Clifford Chance's New York office and a member of the US Insurance and Corporate/M&A practice group.

Elliott focuses his practice on insurance transactional and insurance regulatory and compliance matters. Elliott’s transactional experience includes insurance company and insurance agency mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance transactions, pension risk transfer transactions, and other innovative structured finance and restructuring matters.

Elliott also has experience with a broad array of insurance regulatory and compliance matters, both in the admitted and non-admitted/surplus lines market, including formation and licensing of insurance entities, advising on insurance carrier “fronting” arrangements, obtaining accredited and reciprocal jurisdiction reinsurer status, addressing rebating/commission sharing issues and other insurance regulatory matters faced by insurance industry participants. Elliott’s pro bono experience includes advising and assisting non-profit corporations.
