The potential outcomes and impact of the Williams Rail Review
4 July 2019
The Williams Rail Review was established in September 2018 to look at the structure of the whole rail industry and the way passenger rail services are delivered.
The review was established in response to the numerous problems that have affected the industry recently, including the issues with introduction of a new timetable, the collapse of the East Coast franchise and the impact of industrial action on services on the Southern franchise.
This briefing explores potential outcomes and the impact change to the franchising regime may have on rolling stock lessors and financiers.
