Rebecca O'Brien (She/Her)

Rebecca O'Brien specializes in structured debt, focusing on CLOs and private credit, including rated feeder transactions and CFOs. She has wider experience in securitization transactions across all major asset classes, and in derivatives. Rebecca additionally advises on cross-border regulatory matters involving the US risk retention regulations, the Volcker Rule, Investment Advisers Act, NAIC matters and the EU/UK Securitisation Regulations.

She has contributed to thought leadership and spoken on the topic of CLOs, private credit and rated feeders at a number of conferences including the US and European CLO Summits (Opal), ABS East and the CLO Industry conference (LSTA/DealCatalyst). Additionally, she is involved with Women in Securitization, a network which has been organized by Structured Finance association and focuses on the development, advancement, and retention of women in structured finance. Rebecca brings an interesting perspective being dual qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales as well as admitted as an attorney-at-law in New York. She has worked in the London, Singapore and New York offices of Clifford Chance.

  • Credit Suisse Asset Management as portfolio manager and acting as special counsel to the Co-Issuers in connection with CSAM's Madison Park Funding, One Eleven Funding and Madison Park Euro Funding CLO platforms, including warehousing, new issuances, refinancings and resets, both in the US and European markets.
  • RREEF/DWS group as portfolio manager and acting as special counsel to the Co-Issuers in connection with DWS's RIN infrastructure CLO platform, including EU Securitization Regulation compliant structures.
  • York CLO Managed Holdings as portfolio manager and acting as special counsel to the Co-Issuers in connection with York's CLO platform, including warehousing, new issuances, refinancings and resets.
  • Symphony Asset Management, AIG, New York Life Investors and ZAIS each as portfolio manager in connection with their respective CLO platforms.
