David M. Feldman is Global Co-Head of the Restructuring & Insolvency practice in New York.

David brings more than 30 years of experience representing large and sophisticated credit funds, private equity firms, financial institutions, and companies in complex bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed asset and debt transactions.

He is consistently ranked as a leading Bankruptcy and Restructuring lawyer by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, describing him as “an excellent strategist with an ability to guide his clients through restructurings efficiently and successfully,” that he “is very smart,” and “very experienced,” highlighting “his in-depth understanding of technical issues” and his “fantastic strategic vision.

  • Advised Braidwell, LP, a major biotech/healthcare investor, as majority lender to Nanostring, a genetics biotech company, in connection with Nanostring’s highly successful sale in bankruptcy.
  • Advised the second lien lenders to Trimark, a leading national restaurant supply company, in connection with Trimark’s 2024 restructuring.
  • Advised an ad hoc bondholders group in connection with the out-of-court restructuring of Accelerate Diagnostics Inc., an in-vitro diagnostics company.
  • Advised F45 Training Holdings Inc., a fitness franchisor, on its out-of-court restructuring.
  • Advised senior secured lenders in connection with the successful credit bid for the assets of Vice Group Holding Inc., a digital media and entertainment platform, in Vice’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
  • Represented ad-hoc trade creditor group in connection with challenge to postpetition rate of interest in PG&E’s Chapter 11 case. Led successful appeal in the Ninth Circuit which established new law on the issue.
  • Represented Wine.com, a national wine eRetailer, in connection with an out-ofcourt restructuring and rescue loan.
  • Advised Vistra Corp. and its subsidiary, Luminant Energy Company, in connection with the bankruptcies and restructurings of several of its contract counterparties adversely affected by winter storm Uri.
  • Represented Northwest Hardwoods, a leading international supplier of hardwood, with its successful Chapter 11 reorganization.
  • Represented Rosehill Resources, a major independent oil and gas company, with its successful Chapter 11 reorganization.
