Nicholas Hughes specialises in cross-border and domestic M&A, restructurings, public takeovers, joint ventures and general corporate advisory work.
Nicholas acts for corporates, private equity houses and energy and infrastructure investors. He has a wide range of experience in the energy and resources sector with a particular focus on the power industry. Nicholas is co-head of the East African section of the Clifford Chance Global Africa Group.
Nicholas is the Africa Practice Leader for Power and Renewables.

- International Power on the USD$20 billion combination of International Power and the international energy assets of ENGIE, and on the subsequent offer by ENGIE to acquire the shares in International Power not already owned by it
