Thomas Shattuck has more than a decade of experience serving clients across the energy and natural resources sector, from rock pore to burner tip. He focuses on M&A, joint venture, and project development transactions involving oil and gas, power generation, and other energy and infrastructure assets.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Thomas was a research manager for a leading professional services firm, covering oil and gas M&A, upstream exploration, LNG, refining, and the energy transition. Thomas has worked as a research analyst covering the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and Alaska upstream. He started his career as a field engineer for a large oilfield services company in the Gulf of Mexico.

- Viper Energy Partners LP, a subsidiary of Diamondback Energy Inc., in its approximately US$1 billion acquisition of mineral and royalty interests in the Permian Basin from Warwick Capital Partners and GRP Energy Capital.
- Spire Inc. in its agreement to acquire MoGas Pipeline, an interstate natural gas pipeline, and Omega Pipeline, a connected gas distribution system, from CorEnergy Infrastructure Trust, Inc., for US$175 million.
- A publicly-traded energy company in a drilling services contract, offshore Mexico.
- Rattler Midstream LP, a subsidiary of Diamondback Energy, Inc., in its joint venture OMOG JV LLC with a subsidiary of Plains Oryx Permian Basin LLC (Plains Oryx).
