Martina’s practice focuses on US sanctions laws, export controls, and national security matters. She advises US and international clients on matters involving compliance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). She routinely advises on the CFIUS national security review process for foreign acquisitions in the United States.
Martina conducts due diligence on corporate acquisitions and transactions for CFIUS, sanctions, and export controls issues, advises on related provisions in transactional agreements, coordinates CFIUS filings, and counsel's clients through voluntary disclosures and government enforcement actions.
Martina also has experience representing multinational companies in investigations involving matters before the US Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
