Josh Bernard is counsel in the Americas Corporate M&A group in Houston. His practice focuses on complex cross-border transactions, primarily involving Latin America.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Josh guides clients across a broad spectrum of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, as well as financings, debt and equity capital markets, corporate governance and crisis management.
His experience includes advising public and private companies, private equity sponsors, investors and banks operating in the region, across industries including energy & infrastructure, fintech, banking & financial services, travel and retail, among others.

- KKR in its acquisition of an interest in the Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 Project from Sempra Infrastructure
- COPEC, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Copec S.A. (COPEC), on its sale of MAPCO Express, Inc.
- Patria Investments in its business combination with Moneda Asset Management
- Despegar.com, on its acquisition of Best Day Travel, PIPE investments and other corporate & financing matters
- Grupo Phoenix on its sale to Tekni-Plex, Inc.
- Aenza in connection with the unsolicited tender offer by IG4 Capital
- Covalto Ltd. on its proposed business combination and corporate and financing matters
- Underwriters and lenders in multiple financings for the Intercorp group companies
- Gramercy Funds Management LLC on financings in Latin America
