Srruthi specialises in complex and high value commercial disputes. She has extensive litigation, arbitration and advisory experience in local and cross-border matters involving shareholders' disputes, breaches of contract including joint venture, merger, lease, employment and banking agreements, breaches of fiduciary duties, fraud and conspiracy, damages, tax disputes, insolvency and obligations under investment and other treaties.

- Advised listed and non-listed Asian companies and their directors on local and cross-border shareholders' disputes in anticipation of litigation or arbitration and acted for them in shareholders’ derivative actions, minority oppression actions and shareholders’ winding up petitions before the Singapore High Court and Court of Appeal**
- Acted for and advised the former managing director of a major Singapore oil trading firm, Hin Leong Trading, in a US$3.5 billion dispute involving claims by the firm for fraudulent trading and breach of directors’ duties and related claims by various banks before the Singapore High Court**
- Acted for and advised an Asian venue owner in a dispute with a US sporting investment company arising out of breaches of a venue hire agreement. SIAC rules apply**
- Acted for and advised an Indian multi-national energy infrastructure group of companies in a US$150 million dispute with a Malaysian power company arising out breaches of put option and indemnity clauses in a shareholders’ agreement. SIAC rules apply**
- Advised a listed Singapore communications company and, separately, a leading Singapore property developer on tax assessments for withholding tax, tax deductions, capital gains and obligations under applicable treaties and acted for a leading Singapore property developer in appeals before the Income Tax Board of Review for tax assessments on more than US$100 million in property sales**
- Advised an Asian company on a potential arbitration against a sovereign State for expropriation and breach of concession agreements and, separately, on a potential investment treaty arbitration against a sovereign State for inability to recover costs or reasonable profits arising from a breach of fair and equitable treatment obligations**
- Acted for a leading Singapore property developer in a S$50 million construction dispute with a French global contractor before the Singapore High Court**
- Acted for Noble Resources Limited and the Noble Group Ltd in claims by a former director for employment entitlements before the Singapore High Court and Court of Appeal**
