Roland Scarlett specialises in intellectual property law, international trade law, and public international law.
Roland has represented clients before the UKIPO, EUIPO, UK High Court, and Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as in international arbitrations, including under WIPO UDRP rules.
Roland regularly advises governments and multinational corporations on matters relating to the law of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), and trade agreements, including directly advising on over 11 separate trade agreements in 2020. Roland was recently seconded to the Department for International Trade to assist on rolling over UK trade agreements post-EU exit.
Roland advises on all areas of public international law. He has recently advised international organisations, States, and a private individual on matters relating to public international law, including the law of international organisations, international personality, and international human rights law.
