Laura is a Corporate Lawyer in our Global Tech Group, specialising in complex commercial, regulatory, privacy, and compliance projects involving data and emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and other digital platforms. Her expertise spans the consumer retail, pharma, digital health, automotive, technology and commodities sectors. She supports our Healthcare & Life Sciences sector group and Healthtech offering.
She has in-house experience from secondments at a global automotive company and a global online retailer, where she respectively supported the development of a global AI program and go-to-market strategies for the online sale of regulated consumer care products.
Her technical background includes a PhD and entrepreneurial experience at the intersection of data science and techbio. Since 2024, she has served as a Member of the Imperial College London Research Ethics Committee, which oversees and approves research involving human participants conducted at the College.

- Advising on AI governance and ethics, compliance with the EU AI Act and the adoption of generative AI, LLMs and other AI products, including for the provision of healthcare services and conducting clinical trials in Europe, as well as in the automotive and technology sectors.
- Providing regulatory and commercial recommendations for the online sale of medical devices and diagnostics products under European and UK medical devices regulation
- Advising on go-to-market strategies for the digitalisation and online provision of regulated care products.
- Drafting and reviewing strategic commercial, IT, AI and software agreements, including commercial contracts for the provision of AI-driven telemedicine services.
- Negotiating selective distribution agreements for the online supply of beauty and other care products
- Advising on regulatory engagement, consultations, inquiries and enforcement risk involving UK, EU and other international regulators.
- Supporting European data protection compliance programmes involving EU/UK GDPR, including advice on data management and GDPR compliance, including a review of legal bases of processing and secondary use of sensitive data (biometrics, data concerning health, pharmacovigilance data)
- Advising global businesses on compliance with emerging EU digital and tech legislation including the EU Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act and the Data Act.
- Advising on compliance with the UK Children's Code.
- Cyber incident preparedness and managing end-to-end complex multi-jurisdictional cyber incident response involving millions of records, including breaches involving sensitive data.
