Chris Norman is a Senior Associate in Clifford Chance's Restructuring and Insolvency (R&I) Practice in London. He specialises in advising creditors, debtors, shareholders, insolvency officeholders and other stakeholders in relation to restructurings and insolvency related matters across the globe, with a particular focus on complex, cross border restructurings in Europe and Africa.

- an ad hoc group of noteholders on the restructuring of Intu PLC
- investors in Hertz' European rental car asset backed securitisation structure in connection with the Hertz US group Chapter 11 filing and the restructuring of the Hertz International Group
- Aercap on the debt for equity restructuring of Norwegian Air Shuttle
- HMG in relation to Flybe Limited
- potential administrators to a large, UK retailer on a restructuring contingency plan
- the senior lenders to Carillion PLC on its attempted restructuring and subsequent insolvency
- the senior lenders to Edcon, Southern Africa's largest non-food retailer, in relation to its financial restructuring
- an ad hoc committee of noteholders and new money lenders to the Abengoa Group on the global restructuring of the group's c. EUR€14 billion of financial indebtedness (using an English CVA, US Chapter 11 and Spanish homologation)
