Alexander Metzing joined the firm as an Associate in February 2022 and focuses on international structured finance transactions. His field of work includes advising major banks, international corporations and professional service providers on the securitisation of, and other transactions including, inter alia, trade receivables and lease receivables. He further advises investment funds and their fund managers in connection with fund-linked (structured) products (including bonds and profit participation rights).
- Advising a German investment company on setting up a platform for a sale-and-lease-back structure.
- Advising originators and banks on the German part of pan-European car fleet financing securitisation transactions including amendments relating to the inclusion of new jurisdictions to the financing transaction, on the entry of new investors and various further amendments.
- Advising a German corporate on various funding transactions backed by lease receivables resulting from bike lease agreements
- Advising major European banks on various securitisation transactions backed by German law receivables resulting from instalment purchase contracts for solar panels and heat pumps.
- Advising Volkswagen Financial Services successfully on its first securitisation transaction in the Polish market
- Advising German banks and originators on factoring transaction involving commissioning fee receivables, mail order receivables and other trade receivables.
- Advising on fund-linked (structured) products.
