Clifford Chance
Charles is a Senior Associate based in Clifford Chance’s Abu Dhabi office.
He advises project developers, sponsors, project companies, and lenders—including national oil companies, commercial banks, export credit agencies, multilaterals, and development banks—on complex and innovative projects across the renewable energy, oil and gas, LNG, infrastructure, power, and natural resources sectors. His experience spans the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
Before joining Clifford Chance, Charles served as Acting Head of Legal for Downstream, Marketing and Trading, and Low Carbon Solutions at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) P.J.S.C.
Charles was recognised as a key lawyer for Projects by The Legal 500 Asia (2023). In addition to the UAE, Charles has also worked in London, Singapore, and Tokyo.
