Clifford Chance advises Castleforge and Galaxy Data Centers on acquisition of Redhill Data Centre

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised real estate investor Castleforge in partnership with full-service data centre operator and advisory firm Galaxy Data Centers on the acquisition of Redhill Data Centre. The Redhill Data Centre has a development value of over £100 million and houses tenants including Fortune 500 enterprises and other businesses from sectors ranging from financial services to AI. Financing for the acquisition was provided by ICG Real Estate.

The Redhill Data Centre campus spans 11,800 square metres across three buildings with 26MVA of power with notable features including secured green energy, scalable infrastructure and low-latency connectivity to other data centre hubs including Slough and the Docklands.

This transaction marks Castleforge's entry into the data centre sector, combining its expertise in operational real estate investment with Galaxy Data Centers’ deep industry experience.

The multidisciplinary team was led by Real Estate Partner and Co-Head of Global Real Estate Sector Alis Pay supported by Partner Matt Taylor and Senior Associates Alice Raine, Alex Pennington, Zain Farook and Associate Lucy Johnson.
