Clifford Chance further strengthens US M&A practice with partner Chang-Do Gong in New York
Global law firm Clifford Chance has hired Chang-Do Gong to join its US Mergers and Acquisitions practice. Gong brings 25 years of public and private M&A experience across a wide spectrum of industries including energy and infrastructure, healthcare and life sciences, media and technology.
Global Head of Corporate Sarah Jones said, "We are excited Chang-Do is joining our global team. The addition of Gong builds on the firm's significant growth in the region, with 29 senior lateral hires since 2023. Most recently these include Tax partner Todd Lowther, Insurance M&A counsel Dave Marley, Antitrust counsel Lauren Rackow, Energy & Infrastructure transaction partners Ty'Meka M. Reeves-Sobers and Marcia Hook, Latam M&A counsel Joshua Bernard, and Energy & Infrastructure M&A partner Cephas Sekar and counsel Kyle Kreshover. The US M&A team now has more than 70 lawyers, who form part of a 900-strong global practice.
