Clifford Chance advises Stirling Square on raising €950 million in relation to its Fourth Fund
International law firm Clifford Chance has advised on the successful fundraising of the Stirling Square Capital Partners Fourth Fund (the “Fund”). The Fund received robust support from Stirling Square's existing investor base, as well as attracting significant commitments from notable new global investors. In total, €950 million was raised in connection with the Fund, exceeding Stirling Square’s target and representing a nearly 60% increase in size over the firm’s Third Fund.
The Fund will continue to execute the strategy developed by Stirling Square’s earlier funds for the European middle market and pursue value-oriented transactions with a clear focus on business transformation.
The core Clifford Chance team working on the transaction consisted of Gerard Saviola (Partner, Funds), Stephanie Dunne (Senior Associate, Funds), Kim Carlile, Carolina Barry-Laso and Catherine Davis (Associates, Funds), assisted by partners Anthony Stewart (Partner, Tax) and Owen Lysak (Partner, Regulatory).
Clifford Chance also advised in relation to the establishment of the Stirling Square Capital Partners Third Fund.
