Clifford Chance advises Metroinvest on the purchase of Düsseldorf "Wolkenbügel" property
The international law firm, Clifford Chance, advised Spanish Metroinvest on its first investment in the German market. The group purchased the office property PEC (Port Event Center), which is also known as "Wolkenbügel", in the Düsseldorf Media Harbour from IVG Institutional Funds GmbH.
The 92 metre long "Wolkenbügel", with its three floors of metal construction, spans out 50 meters over its historical, underlying structure and is one of the most avant-garde buildings in the Düsseldorf Media Harbour, which is known for its extraordinary architecture. Advertising agency, Ogilvy & Mather Deutschland, is the anchor tenant.
Metroinvest, one of the Barcelona-based Grupo Metrópolis companies, specialised in real estate investments in European capital cities.

Der 92 Meter lange, dreigeschossige Stahlfachwerkkonstruktion "Wolkenbügel" überspannt auf 50 Metern frei die darunterliegende historische Bausubstanz und ist eines der avantgardistischsten Gebäude im Düsseldorfer Medienhafen, der für seine außergewöhnliche Architektur bekannt ist. Ankermieter ist die Werbeagentur Ogilvy & Mather Deutschland GmbH.
