EU Court of Justice Judgment in the Google Shopping case
15 November 2024
On 10 September 2024, the European Court of Justice upheld a European Commission decision finding that Google and its parent company Alphabet abused its dominant position in online search markets by favouring its own shopping service over those of its competitors in its general search results pages in breach of EU antitrust law (Article 102 TFEU). The judgment is final – no further appeal is possible.
