Opinion of the European Data Protection Board on the interplay between the ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR

On 12 March 2019 the European Data Protection Board issued an opinion regarding the interplay between the Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the "GDPR") and the Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (the "ePrivacy Directive").
