When a regulator calls

In recent times, regulators have been flexing their muscles by prosecuting those who came before them using information obtained under compulsion. Their significant powers of compulsion and subsequent cross-examination has been compared to "pulling wings off a butterfly".  These powers are now being challenged in the High Court, causing regulators and prosecutors to re-evaluate how they conduct their investigations and subsequent criminal trials.
