SEC to Consider Adoption of Rules Regarding Private Fund Manager Registration at June 22 Meeting
10 June 2011
Yesterday, the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") announced that an open meeting will be held on June 22, 2011 to consider the adoption of new rules and rule amendments to implement certain provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. In particular, the SEC will consider whether to adopt proposed rules regarding the registration requirements for many U.S. and foreign hedge fund and private equity fund managers.
Clifford Chance attorneys will attend the meeting in person in Washington, D.C. and provide an alerter summarizing the event. We expect that a simultaneous webcast of the meeting will be available on June 22 at the link below.
