Luxembourg Law of 17 December 2010 on Undertakings for Collective Investment

The Luxembourg law of 17 December 2010 on undertakings for collective investment was voted by the Luxembourg Parliament on 16 December 2010 and entered into force on 1 January 2011. It implements the UCITS IV Directive and introduces a number of other changes to the Luxembourg legislation applicable to investment funds.
As was the case in 1985 and 2002 with respect to the first UCITS Directive and the so-called UCITS III Directive, Luxembourg is the first country within the European Union to pass the UCITS IV Directive into national law.
